The Carousel of Life

This is a triptych which consists of 3 canvases. The old carousel found in down town Bordeaux France was my inspiration. I think of the carousel as a symbol of the circle of life. In life, you look backwards, you look forwards, you have your ups and downs, your fears, your joys and whether you are on the outside or riding the carousel, you are part of the circle of life. I feel that this triptych is significant in my story. The first lesson that I taught as a teacher almost 3 decades ago was the symbolism of the carousel as the circle of life. I started to paint this when I realized that I would not be returning to teaching. Limited edition glicee print available.
